New Star Printed Ribbon Information




Our All Star cheer bows have been in our product line for over a year now. They include our 7/8 inch star printed grosgrain ribbon. We have recently changed from a "hot stamp" print to a screen print. We would like to tell you about a couple of benefits to the screen print procedure over the hot stamp process.

First of all as you can see in the pictures of the cheer bows below the new screen printed stars are larger than the old stars. The new stars are on the left and the old stars are on the right:

          

The most important point we would like our customers to know is illustrated below:



The hair bow on the right is made with the hot stamp ribbon and the hair bow on the left is our screen printed stars. After brief handling the hot stamp stars rub off. You can scrape the screen printed stars with your finger nail and they will not smudge or come off.

If hot stamped prints get wet they will wash off. 

So if you are considering ordering star cheerleading bows from another cheer bow company ask them if their stars are screen printed. Ask for a sample. Rub your finger nail across the print. If it comes off it is not screen printed. The screen printed stars we have are printed exclusively for Yella Ribbon Cheer Bows.

One more thing: Metallic stars cannot be screen printed. If anyone tells you that silver or gold stars are screen printed it is not true.   It is for this reason that we are only using white and black stars from now on. We apologize for any inconvenience, but we would rather have limited colors than have the stars not last through the season.
